My Approach
I trained through the Psychology Institute of California in partnership with the Aura Institute to become a certified Integrative Trauma Practitioner. My work is rooted in somatic awareness, pacing, safety and the understanding that the nervous system is the foundation of our emotional, physical and mental well being. I am also a certified 200 hour Iyengar Yoga teacher and have training in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy skills. I am currently pursuing further studies in the science of how the nervous system adapts and heals. Staying educated in the research behind this work is important to me and I am committed to continuing my learning so I can support my clients with skill and integrity.
This work is both professional and deeply personal for me. Years of reproductive health challenges and a hysterectomy in 2023 showed me how powerful the connection is between the body, stress, trauma and long term patterns of survival. My own nervous system was working overtime for years and it shaped the way I thought, felt and moved through my life. When I began to understand the physiology behind my symptoms, everything shifted. Healing stopped feeling like an impossible task and started becoming a process of listening, slowing down and giving my body the conditions it had been asking for.
Because of my own journey, I hold a great amount of compassion for the people who sit with me. Many clients arrive feeling overwhelmed, shut down or unsure of how to connect with their bodies. I meet you exactly where you are, without pressure or expectation. My role is not to fix you, but to walk alongside you as you build capacity, soften long held patterns and reconnect with a steadier relationship to yourself. Every session is collaborative, body led and grounded in the belief that your nervous system knows how to heal when it has the right support.
