Compassionate, Body Based Healing for a Regulated Nervous System

Many of us carry tension, overwhelm, anxiety or old stories in our bodies without realizing it. Sometimes the mind understands. But the body does not always follow.

That is where somatic work comes in. Instead of only talking about what is happening we use body based awareness, breath, grounding and gentle movement to support the nervous system in settling and feeling safer in its own experience.

In a first session you do not need to have the right words. You do not need to be good at noticing feelings. You just need to arrive. We move slowly. We notice what the body says. We work with stress and tension rather than forcing release or pushing for big outcomes.

Somatic work is helpful for people who have tried therapy, meditation or mindset tools and still feel like something is missing. Maybe your thoughts make sense but your body still feels wired. Maybe you carry tightness you cannot shake. Maybe emotion sits just below the surface. This work offers another way in.

Somatic Nervous System Session

In studio somatic work supports your nervous system in releasing stress patterns and returning to a more steady grounded state. Sessions are one on one and guided slowly so your body has time to respond rather than push or perform. We use awareness breath grounding and gentle tracking to help your system shift out of survival response and into regulation.

This session may be a good fit if you experience:

• ongoing stress or overwhelm
• anxiety or restless body states
• emotional heaviness or shutdown
• tension with no clear cause
• trouble relaxing or feeling safe in your body

Together we explore how your system has been protecting you what helps it soften and how to build capacity for steadiness over time. The goal is not to force a breakthrough. The work is gradual supportive and paced in a way that feels manageable and real.

This is body based nervous system support not psychotherapy. It is grounded trauma informed care that helps you reconnect with your body release held patterns and cultivate internal stability from the inside out.

Online 1 on 1 sessions are a flexible and effective option for anyone outside the Okotoks area or for those who prefer to work from home. Somatic nervous system work translates extremely well online, and many clients find they can settle even more easily in their own space. All you need is a quiet area, a device, and a bit of privacy.

Online sessions are a great choice if you:
• live outside Okotoks, High River, or Calgary
• prefer a more affordable, accessible option
• feel safer or more comfortable in your own environment
• want the convenience of consistent weekly sessions without travel
• appreciate arriving exactly as you are — cozy clothes, blanket, tea and all
