Compassionate, Body Based Healing for a Regulated Nervous System
So often we spend our days talking, analyzing, and pushing ourselves to do more. But true healing does not come from more effort. It begins when the body feels safe enough to soften, to feel, and to release what it has been holding.
“I wasn’t sure what to expect, but for the first time I felt deeply seen. Compassion toward my body. A safe place to heal. Stories honored.”
This is how many of my clients describe their first session. They arrive unsure, sometimes overwhelmed, but leave with a new sense of compassion, connection, and safety within themselves.
If you have explored therapy, meditation, or other practices but still feel disconnected or like something is missing, somatic sessions may offer a different way forward.
True and lasting healing is not about forcing a trauma release or chasing quick fixes. It is about building the capacity of your nervous system so that healing unfolds naturally, at a pace that feels manageable.
Through somatic sessions we work with awareness, breath, and gentle movement to regulate the nervous system and release stored stress and emotion. Over time this process supports you in feeling more grounded, present, and compassionate toward yourself.
This is not just about managing symptoms. It is about creating a deeper shift in how you relate to your body and to your life.

Why Work With Your Nervous System?
Your nervous system is at the core of how you experience stress, connection, and resilience. When it becomes overwhelmed, the body can stay stuck in patterns of tension or hyper-vigilance, even long after the stressor has passed. Somatic and body-based practices gently support regulation, helping you feel more grounded, connected, and at ease in daily life.
Gently release tension patterns stored in the body
Improve rest, energy, and overall well-being
Rebuild a sense of safety and connection within yourself
Strengthen long-term nervous system resilience

Ways To Work With Me
Online Sessions
Most of my clients work with me online. This option is flexible, convenient, and just as powerful as being in the same room. From the comfort of your own space, you can show up exactly as you are — whether that means cozy clothes, a blanket, or a cup of tea nearby. Online sessions take away the stress of commuting or rearranging your day, making it easier to arrive present and supported.
Online sessions offer:
• Flexibility to meet from anywhere with just a quiet space and a device
• Comfort in your own environment with whatever helps you feel safe and grounded
• A supportive space that feels less clinical and more like a compassionate conversation guided by your body
• Trauma informed practices that invite regulation, release, and reconnection
Mobile Sessions (Local Only)
For clients in Okotoks, High River, and South Calgary, I also offer mobile sessions. This means I bring the work directly to you in a space that feels familiar and grounding. Many people find that being at home helps their body relax more easily, making it simpler to drop into the process.
Mobile sessions offer:
• The ease of not having to travel to an appointment
• Support in a familiar environment that may already feel safe and comfortable
• A collaborative experience where I provide tools and guidance while your body leads the way
• Gentle, steady practices that help you regulate and reconnect without pressure or force
The Science of Somatic Healing
Somatic Movement is a body based approach to healing that supports the nervous system in finding safety and balance. Stress and trauma are not only in the mind, they are also stored in the body. You might notice your breath shorten when you feel overwhelmed, your chest tighten before a difficult conversation, or a memory rise with a wave of heat. These are natural nervous system responses that often happen beneath awareness.
In somatic work we do not try to force or fix these responses. Instead we bring gentle attention and curiosity. Practices such as pendulation, orienting, and pacing create space for the body to soften at its own rhythm, allowing release and regulation to happen safely over time. Many of my clients share that they never realized how much something as simple as slowing the breath, creating space, or a gentle movement like a hug, a squeeze, or soft rocking could bring them closer to their emotions than they had felt in years.
How It Works
• Stress and trauma show up in the body through patterns of breath, posture, and sensation
• Somatic practices invite awareness back to the present moment in ways that feel safe and manageable
• Gentle techniques like pendulation and orienting give the nervous system more room to regulate
• Healing unfolds gradually with respect for your capacity, creating more ease, resilience, and connection
Somatic work is best understood by experiencing it. Start with a free 15 minute consult and notice what unfolds when your body has the space to be heard.
